New member J. R. Shannon is a fourth generation Central Valley farmer and the son of MBGFR member Eric Shannon and grandson of member Mike Shannon. J. R. graduated from Fresno State and enjoys watching his alma mater play football on Saturdays. J. R. recently married his college sweetheart Jayme. In his free time he enjoys golf, softball, playing with his dogs and working in the yard. At the end of the day, nothing's better than a fine glass of California wine! Welcome, J. R.!
New member Bill Gerlach is a member of Visalia Rotary. He is an optometrist who
has practiced with Sierra Eye Medical Group for the past 30 years. When not
working or playing golf, Bill spends time in the garden. He is married to Carol
and they have three grown boys.
New member Monique Miron of Visalia Downtown Rotary. Monique is a
member of Visalia Country Club and is an active volunteer with construction
related organizations in Visalia. She is President and Founder of CM
Construction Services, LLC, a company which provides construction management
services from conception to completion for both public and private entities.
New member Tom Beene.
Tom Beene is a member of Visalia Rotary and
has been the President and CEO of Visalia Community Bank for the past 10 years.
Tom is also active in several other local civic and charitable organizations. He
and his wife, Janice, enjoy spending time at their second home on the Central
Coast.
New member Dick Watson.
Four new members have joined the MBGFR during the last month. We welcome Stephen Carnes from Morro Bay Rotary and Dick Watson, Tom Beene and Monique Miron, all of Visalia Rotary. Dick is a past member of the MBGFR and retired from W. M. Lyles Co. in 2002 after a 37 year career in underground construction. He has been a member of Visalia Rotary for 35 years and is a past club president. Although retired, he remains involved in many civic endeavors. Welcome all!

New Member Craig Vejvoda

The MBGFR welcomes our newest member, Craig Vejvoda of Tulare. Craig is a financial advisor with The Principal Financial Group and has been with the company since 1983. He was inducted into the company's Hall of Fame this year. He has been a member of the Tulare Rotary Club since 2001 and is a member of the Tulare Men's Golf Club. He was elected to the Tulare City Council in 2004. Craig's golfing claim to fame came in 2001 when he won a car with a hole-in-one at a Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation tournament. Craig has two daughters, 17 and 19. Welcome, Craig! |
